Convert HEIC and HEIF still photos to JPG on your device with an on-demand local decoder.
Select HEIC or HEIF photos from your device. Pixlena loads its decoder when you add a photo, builds a local preview, and exports a real JPEG when you start processing. Decoding runs in a worker so it does not run on the main interface thread.
The first use downloads the decoder code; your photos themselves are not sent to a server. Each file is limited to 40 MB and 40 megapixels. If a photo cannot be decoded or decoding times out, it remains marked as failed and is excluded from successful downloads. Use smaller copies for large batches.
Check the preview before exporting and use the existing rotation controls if necessary. This converter uses the first top-level still image; it does not preserve Live Photo motion, depth data, HDR information, or EXIF metadata. JPEG adds lossy compression, and a decoded standard-color image may differ from your phone’s HDR display. Keep your original HEIC for archival use.
